Office Manager | Mrs. Herrera

Mrs. Herrera is the bright and cheery face that you will first see when walking into Liberty!  She manages everything from what goes home in your children's folders to making sure every event happens in the right place and the right time!  She is phenomenal at keeping everyone organized and everything running smoothly.

Mrs. Herrera is an alum of Liberty Christian and grew up here in the Walla Walla Valley.  She and her husband, Rick, have 4 kids. Her two daughters graduated from Liberty, and her two sons currently attend Liberty’s high school.  When she's not managing the school, she loves to read, garden, and sing!

Preschool | Mrs. Loudermilk

Kindergarten | Mrs. Rhodes

Mrs. Rhodes is our Kindergarten teacher. She has an Associates degree from Ambassador Baptist College and was brought up studying the Abeka curriculum. When Mrs. Rhodes was offered this teaching position she said, “This is a dream come true! If I could jump over the moon, I would!” That is exactly what you will get when you meet her…a sense of complete joy and thankfulness for everything the Lord has given her! Mrs. Rhodes loves to provide singing, playtime and story reading for her students, while steering a clear foundational academic course towards first grade readiness. What a blessing Mrs. Rhodes has been to our staff and her students.
When not at the school, Mrs. Rhodes resides in Milton-Freewater with her husband Brian and their daughter, Maddie who attends Liberty. In her spare time, Mrs. Rhodes is crafting all sorts of things whether it be for friends or kids at the school. If you were to ask her what her favorite thing about her job was, she would say that it would be to encourage her little ones to live for Christ!

1st Grade | Mrs. Sweet

Mrs. Sweet teaches in our first grade classroom. She graduated from Montana State University and has taught in Arizona and Washington in public and private schools for over 20 years, most of those being here at Liberty Christian.  She teaches here because, in her own words, "I can teach about the Lord, read about, sing about and pray to Him with these little people whose hearts are forming their own worldview."

Mrs. Sweet has three daughters, each of whom attended Liberty for 10 years.  Lori has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 30 years, who is a mechanical engineer for Nelson Irrigation.

2nd Grade | Mrs. Ruiz

3rd Grade | Mrs. Nichols

4th Grade | Mrs. Pulliam

Mrs. Pulliam teaches 4th grade classroom. Mrs. Pulliam graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in music. As an accomplished pianist she has great success teaching students to memorize, for example, the 50 States and the books of the Old and New Testament, through song.

Mrs. Pulliam taught in a Christian school in California prior to moving to Milton-Freewater with her husband and their three children, Hannah, Jonathan and Thomas. We appreciate her gentle spirit, and the care she shows to the students.

5th + 6th Grade | Mrs. Amene

7th + 8th | Mr. Breithaupt

Full of energy and a love for the Lord, Mr. Breithaupt’s 7th and 8th grade classroom is always full of energy…and lots of learning! You’ll see a huge emphasis on teaching the students discipline and responsibility as they go through their day.

Mr. Breithaupt is from Lewiston, Idaho and Japan and has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Lewis and Clark State College. He met and married his wife, Ai, while in Japan and they now have three children, Asa, Eliah, and Zion. When not at school, Mr. Breithaupt enjoys playing games, the guitar and singing. When asked what he loves about his job, he said, “I get to hang out with awesome kids all day as we learn and grow together. What’s not to love?”

9th - 12th | Ms. Bailey

Ms. Bailey is our lead high school teacher. She demonstrates enthusiasm, determination, dedication, and kindness to her students. She brings a career of teaching and coaching experience to Liberty. Ms. Bailey has taught grades 6-12, for 15 years and has coached soccer, basketball, softball, and been a Young Life leader.

Ms. Bailey earned her Bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and her education degree from Western Washington University. Ms. Bailey loves teaching the academic subjects and is especially excited to be able to teach in a school where Jesus is front and center. She enjoys working outside, reading, and “adopting” kids and supporting them in their activities.
